- Development Description: The Summers Walk development is located off of NC 73 (Davidson-Concord Road), near the Cabarrus County Line. The plan proposes to place 35 townhomes and one single-family detached house along Summers Walk Boulevard at its entrance near the intersection of Summers Walk Boulevard and NC 73. An additional five townhomes are envisioned on a new street connecting west, a roadway illustrated on the original master plan.

- In 2018 Blue Heel Development began meeting with staff to explore a new master plan for Phase 6, submitting a complete application for 41 townhomes and one single-family detached home on February 7, 2019.
- In 2015, Mountain Real Estate Capital initiated a Master Plan Amendment to remove the requirement for a Storefront/Workplace/Civic component on the west side of Summers Walk Boulevard. This was an amendment to the existing Master Plan (amended 2012).
- The Planning Board reviewed this request on May 23, 2016 and unanimously recommended approval of the Master Plan Amendment on May 23, 2016.
- The Davidson Board of Commissioners heard the request at their June 14, 2016 regular meeting. The Board approved the Master Plan Amendment on June 14, 2016.

- Concurrently, the developer initiated a Master Plan for Phase 6 of Summers Walk illustrating 43 lots, with 30 of those lots being single-family. This plan was approved on June 16, 2016.
