Saturday, May 14 at the Davidson Parks & Recreation Office at 865 South Street:
Davidson-Cornelius Bike Expo: 9:00 a.m. – noon
The Bike Expo will provide attendees an opportunity to demo bikes from area bike shops, learn about bicycle safety and maintenance, and experience unique bikes such as recumbents, electric assist bikes, child/adult tandems, and balance bikes. Kids can participate in a bike rodeo and other activities geared toward children.
Davidson Parks and Recreation will have its new solar-electric ELF bike to demo and the Town of Cornelius will have information on new greenways that are currently under development, as well as their town’s Bicycle Master Plan.
Please join us for the “Community Ride,” an 8-mile guided ride that starts at 11:00 a.m. and the “Family Ride,” a guided ride that will start after the community ride leaves. Families will be able to ride along for the duration that suits their skill level. Register online (Follow the Bike Expo link at: www.townofdavidson.org/bikemonth) or sign-up at the Town of Davidson booth when you arrive (helmets required).
