- October 30, Construction Documents Approved: After several technical reviews Town of Davidson and Mecklenburg County staff approved the construction documents.
- May 23, Master Plan Approved: After several technical reviews Town of Davidson and Mecklenburg County staff approved the plan.
- Monday, April 29, Planning Board: The Planning Board reviewed the proposal a number of times in 2019, culminating in their official review and comment on the plan mid-spring.
- March 14, Public Input Session: The developer hosted and staff facilitated two meetings at the Summers Walk clubhouse lasting from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The developer provided an overview of the proposal and, along with staff, answered questions and solicited feedback from residents.
- February 7, Application Submitted: The project team submitted a complete Master Plan application for 41 townhomes and one single-family detached home along Summers Walk Blvd. and John Newton Dr. (a new street connecting west).
2018
- Pre-Application Meetings: In 2018 Blue Heel Development began meeting with staff to explore a new master plan for Phase 6.
2016 Map Amendment & Phase 6 Master Plan (Now Expired)
- In 2015, Mountain Real Estate Capital initiated a Master Plan Amendment to remove the requirement for a Storefront/Workplace/Civic component on the west side of Summers Walk Boulevard. This was an amendment to the existing Master Plan (amended 2012).
- The Planning Board reviewed this request on May 23, 2016 and unanimously recommended approval of the Master Plan Amendment on May 23, 2016.
- The Davidson Board of Commissioners heard the request at their June 14, 2016 regular meeting. The Board approved the Master Plan Amendment on June 14, 2016.

- Concurrently, the developer initiated a Master Plan for Phase 6 of Summers Walk illustrating 43 lots, with 30 of those lots being single-family. This plan was approved on June 16, 2016.
