Crime Scene Investigations

Crime Scene Investigations photoOfficers interested in expanding their skills can seek training in a variety of specialized policing activities and techniques. The Crime Scene Investigation training enhances officers' capabilities by developing expertise in the identification, collection, and preservation of forensic evidence.

Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are called out to process specific crime scenes. A keen eye and delicate touch are vital to being able to find small bits of evidence crucial in many cases. The equipment used by the department CSI officers is of the highest quality. For example, a forensic drying cabinet is used to safely dry damp evidence that could be contaminated with biohazards.
