The Town of Davidson is dedicated to keeping residents and community members safe during any potential threat. These threats could include weather events such as hurricanes or snowstorms, pedestrian/auto collisions, or an active shooter situation, among others.
Town staff, including leadership from the Fire Department, the Police Department, Town Manager's Office, Public Works, and Communications, all work together to address any emergency needs in the town. When required, these same staff activate an Emergency Operations Center to best manage the situation directly on site. These staff are trained in crisis management.
Davidson staff also work closely with key organizational partners such as Charlotte Water, Duke Energy, and Mecklenburg County.
