The Town of Davidson, like all towns in the Lake Norman area, is growing. In 1990, Davidson's population was a mere 4,000 people. In 2020, we are home to nearly 13,000 people.
Along with rising population comes an increased need for public services and community space. In 2017, Creech & Associates conducted a space needs analysis for town hall, the police department, and the fire department. These demonstrated needs, along with the clear need from community groups to have space to gather together, led to the current public facilities project at 251 South Street and the existing town hall (Town Hall and Community Center & Public Safety Building). Information regarding other facilities projects will also be posted here as they arise.
