Vial of Life

Overview

A Vial of Life contains both accurate and current medical information about the participant that will assist both the emergency responders and the emergency department staff at the hospital in the event of a medical emergency.

Participating in the Program

The Vial of Life program is free to all participants. All items used in the program have been donated by local and regional businesses.

A provided form is completed and placed in either a clear plastic envelope that is posted on a refrigerator or inside of the refrigerator. Emergency responders are alerted to your participation in the Vial of Life program through a window decal that is placed on or near the most used door of your home. In the Town of Davidson, the program has recently been extended to a person away from their home (as a pedestrian, motorist, or cyclist).

A form carried in a pocketbook, in the glove box of a vehicle, or in a bicycle pouch will function similarly as above. Emergency responders are alerted to your participation in this portion of the Vial of Life program by a keychain that is carried with you while away from the home.

Community Support & Car Decals

We proudly offer Vial of Life decals to our community for free. The Vial of Life Project is important for protecting seniors and others in need. We would like to thank American Senior Safety Medical Alarm Systems for donating these kits to our organization.
