Saturday, April 29 - Earth Day Festival

Enter to earn a prize by traveling carbon-free to the Earth Day Festival, 10am-1pm at the corner of Concord Road and Lorimer Road (adjacent to the town green/119 S. Main St.). Join us for a day of music, food, fun, prizes, and educational activities! For details visit www.townofdavidson.org/earthday

Wednesday, May 3 - Bike/Walk to School Day

Davidson school children will join families from around the country to participate in National Bike to School Day. Parents can contact their child's school to see what is being planned. Saturday, May 6 - Lake Norman Bike Expo at Davidson Town Day

Come enjoy the Lake Norman Bike Expo, May 6 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., that will be held on the Davidson town green in conjunction with Town Day (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). Area bike shops will have bikes to demo, including Pedego Electric Bikes Lake Norman e-bike shop (and rentals), and advocacy nonprofit groups will be in attendance! Town of Cornelius staff will share information about their Heads Up safety campaign and greenway maps. Town of Davidson police and staff will share greenway maps and Vision Zero program information. Join the guided greenway ride (10 miles) starting at 10:30 a.m. Anyone age 14 -17 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring the whole family for the Family Bike Ride at 11:00 a.m. The event is free.

There is no registration needed for the community or family ride, but we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to join the ride. A bike helmet is required. If you are unable to afford a bike helmet for yourself or your child, we may be able to help. Email dpr@townofdavidson.org

The Davidson Mobility Plan - a Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) which evaluates Davidson’s transportation infrastructure, including cars, bikes, and pedestrians- was adopted by the town board on August 27, 2019.  You can learn more at www.davidsonmobilityplan.com
