Parks & Recreation Update

In an effort to keep our community members informed on all things Parks & Recreation related during these trying times we have decided to produce a bimonthly newsletter.

Starting today, September 4, 2020

Playgrounds at town parks will open for play.
- Please use these facilities at your own risk; many of our town parks have hand sanitizing stations, but plan ahead and bring your own sanitizing supplies.
- Please also adhere to all remaining protocols such as wearing a face covering for all ages 5 and up, maintaining social distance, and not gathering in groups of more than 50 individuals.
No games for contact sports are permitted under Phase 2.5 of the Governor’s Executive Order. Basketball goals will be reinstated on town property for athletic conditioning drills, practice, and family play only.
Restroom facilities will reopen at town parks. These restrooms are cleaned by town staff, but not sanitized regularly. Please be mindful and be prepared.

If you have children who are in grades 1-8 and you are still trying to figure out how to coordinate your new work/school schedules, our Parks and Rec team has a solution for you! Open to children who attend any school in the area. Sibling discount.

Watercraft Rental Program & Lottery

Watercraft Rental - come enjoy some lake time on one of our paddle boards, kayaks or canoe.

Watercraft Lottery - Do you use your own canoe, kayak, paddle board, or rowing skiff frequently and want easy access to put your boat on the lake? Davidson residents can register here for the 2021 Watercraft Rack Leasing Program Lottery for a chance to lease a watercraft rack space during the 2021 calendar year. Watercraft racks are available for lease exclusively to Town of Davidson residents. Deadline to sign up is November 16.
